Who is this Man?
What is his mission?
What does he desire to give us?
Who is this Man?
1. “I AM” - You may believe that “I AM” – “you, a man, are making yourself out to be God.”
2. The Son of the Father who will send the Holy Spirit.
a. All may honor the Son as the honor the Father
b. So that you may realized that the Father is in me and I am in the Father
c. The Father may be glorified in the Son (2)
Why did he come?
1. “I came” – his personal mission
a. To do the will of his Father
b. For judgement – truth from falsehood, those who accept his message of “I AM” from those who do not
c. To glorify the Father
d. To testify to the truth
i. The may be consecrated in the truth
e. To do the works of the one who sent me
2. “So that…” – the effects he hopes we will recieve
a. LIFE - So that they might have life and have it more abundantly
b. LIGHT - So that they might not remain in darkness; You may become children of the light
c. FAITH - All might believe - You may believe
i. That the world may believe that you sent me
ii. So that you may come to believe.
d. ETERNAL LIFE - Have eternal life - Where I am you also may be
i. He may give eternal life to all you gave him
e. SALVATION - Might not perish - You may be saved - You may not fall away
f. AMAZEMENT - You may be amazed (2)
g. EUCHARIST - You may eat the bread from heaven
h. MODEL - To be a model, as I have done so also you should do
i. FRUIT - You may bear much fruit
j. JOY - My joy may be in you and your joy may be complete
i. Your joy may be complete
ii. They may share my joy completely
k. ANSWERED PRAYERS - Whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you
l. PEACE - You might have peace in me
m. UNITY - They may be one just as we are
i. They may all be one as you Father are in me and I in you that they may be in us
ii. They may be one as we are one
